The Bolivian team arrives motivated after overcoming the Gauchos in a duel marked by the altitude of La Paz. After winning the first game 3-2, at the Hernando Siles stadium, Bolívar held on to the aggregate result and advanced to the round of 16, where they will face São Paulo, leader of Group C of the South American Championship.
Having finished in first place in their group, São Paulo will have the advantage of deciding the place in front of their fans. The first match will be played in La Paz, on the 11th, 12th or 13th of August, while the return match will take place in Morumbis, on the 18th, 19th or 20th of August.
The duel puts Tricolor back in front of one of the biggest challenges in South American football: the 3,600 meter altitude of the Bolivian capital. Historically, playing for Hernando Siles tends to represent one of the most complicated missions for Brazilian clubs in Conmebol competitions.
