The measure, called “cashback” by the IRS, should benefit around 4 million taxpayers. In total, approximately R$500 million will be released.
Payment will be made on July 15th, directly to the account linked to the CPF type Pix key.
Who is entitled
Taxpayers who:
they were not required to submit the 2025 Income Tax declaration;
they did not send the declaration on their own;
had Income Tax withheld at source throughout 2024;
have amounts to be refunded of up to R$1,000;
have a regular CPF;
have a Pix key linked to the CPF.
How it works
In this pilot project, the IRS uses information already available in its databases to automatically prepare a simplified declaration.
With this, the agency identifies whether there are amounts overpaid and releases the refund without the taxpayer having to submit the declaration first.
How to consult
The query can be made from this Wednesday, on the Federal Revenue website, through the “My Income Tax” service, or through the Federal Revenue app.
The taxpayer will be able to access the automatically generated declaration, check the data used by the IRS, include information, if necessary, and make adjustments or rectifications before processing is completed.
How will payment be
The refund will be paid exclusively by Pix, into an account linked to the taxpayer's CPF key.
The IRS will not make deposits into accounts that are not linked to the CPF nor will it issue a payment order. Anyone eligible must have an active Pix CPF key to receive the money.
This batch is not part of the regular calendar
The special automatic refund batch has its own schedule and will be paid in a single installment on July 15th.
It does not change the regular Income Tax refund schedule. The next batch for those who submitted the declaration on time is scheduled for July 31st.
Beware of scams
The IRS advises taxpayers to only use official channels for consultation. The agency does not recommend intermediaries or links received via messages, social networks or email.
PIS/PASEP of R$1,621 will be paid in July; see if your CPF is on the list
Workers have until December 30, 2026 to withdraw the available amounts. PIS is aimed at private sector employees hired under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) regime and is administered by Caixa Econômica Federal. Pasep serves public servants and is managed by Banco do Brasil.
