SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - Registration for the selection process for 8,238 temporary vacancies at IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) closes this Thursday (9). Those selected will work on the 12th Agricultural, Forestry and Aquaculture Census, scheduled to start in January 2027.

The notice is organized by the IBFC (Brazilian Institute of Training and Qualification) and registrations are made on the institution's website, with a single fee of R$53.

Those registered with CadÚnico (single registration for federal government social programs) and bone marrow donors who meet the established criteria can request an exemption.

Expected salaries range from R$2,128 to R$4,008, depending on the position.

Vacancies for administrative and IT census agents require complete secondary education. For supervisory census agents and regional and operational census agents, it is necessary to have completed higher education and a valid category B driver's license (for cars).

Whoever is hired will be entitled to pre-school assistance, transportation and food, worth R$1,192. There will be payment of a variable commission, depending on the productivity of each census taker. Those hired will also receive proportional holidays and 13th salary.

The selection will be carried out in a single stage, consisting of a test with 60 objective questions distributed between the Portuguese language, logical reasoning, geography and specific knowledge of each position. The exam takes place on September 27th and the results will be made public on December 18th.

25% of vacancies are reserved for black and brown people, 5% for people with disabilities, 3% for indigenous people and 2% for quilombolas.

The initial duration of employment contracts will be one year, with the possibility of extension if necessary. The IBGE administration foresees more vacancies until the beginning of next year, with selection through a simplified selection process.

The Agricultural, Forestry and Aquaculture Census is carried out every ten years with the objective of measuring cultivable areas, levels of food production and animal husbandry, evaluating community subsistence and quantifying rural workers by age, gender and education.

UNDERSTAND JOBS AND SEE SALARIES

- ACA (Administrative Census Agent): performs tasks to support the administrative activities necessary to carry out the census; the salary is R$2,128- ACI (Informatics Census Agent): works supporting the information technology activities necessary to carry out the surveys; the salary is R$2,128- ACS (Supervising Census Agent): supervises and supports the work of census takers, in addition to carrying out special and decentralized collection; the salary is R$ 3,480 - ACR (Regional Census Agent): manages the collection work at the census station for which he is responsible; the salary is R$ 3,858 - AOR (Regional Operational Agent): plans the logistics of collecting information from a given post and acts as the group's leader before the state superintendence and local partnerships; the salary is R$4,008. IBGE also offers 1,414 vacancies in a second notice, which recruits people for the agricultural census and the homeless population. Registration is open until July 15th, via the Instituto Avalia website. There are vacancies for the same positions, in addition to opportunities such as quality census agent and census analyst, which require a higher education level.
