Neymar returns to Santos and will have an individualized program

SANTOS, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) - Striker Neymar returned to CT Rei Pelé this Friday afternoon (17). The number 10 was on vacation from Santos' activities after playing in the World Cup with the Brazilian team, which ended up eliminated in the round of 16 against Norway, on July 5th.

Upon his return, the star underwent a medical and physical evaluation, a standard procedure adopted by the club with all athletes returning from the rest period, and did not go to the pitch.

Based on the results of these tests, Neymar will have an individualized training schedule over the next few days until he is in ideal physical condition to return to the field.

Cautious, Cuca's technical committee does not set a deadline and assures that it will not accelerate the player's return.

The striker has a contract with Santos until December 31st of this year.

With the reinstatement confirmed, the black and white board's expectation is that the contract will be fully fulfilled by the end of the season.

CABALLERO WILL GO THROUGH THE SAME PROTOCOL

Gustavo Caballero will also go through the same transition schedule.

Despite having reappeared at CT Rei Pelé a few days ago, the striker, who was with the Paraguay team during the World Cup, will follow the medical evaluation protocol and will also complete an individualized physical program.

With Santos unable to register new players due to the transfer ban imposed by FIFA, Caballero appears as a homegrown alternative for the squad.

The player will be closely evaluated by coach Cuca and has a chance of being used in the second half of the year, as he did not receive proposals after the end of his loan at Portsmouth, in England.
