Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, sent a warning to the United States on Wednesday night, 8, after the North American government launched several attacks on the country with the end of the peace agreement.
"Khamenei, the martyr, taught us not to fear the United States and demonstrated that falsehood perishes. Prepare for a strong slap from the Iranians," wrote Rezaei.
The hardest hit regions were Bushehr, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask and Abu Musa Island. At least one person died.
Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized the US president for ending the peace agreement and stated that his actions will have serious global consequences.
"The war with Iran has cost American lives and increased the price of gasoline and food for millions of people around the world. Congress voted against the war and should not allow Trump to continue with it," he wrote on his X profile.
After Wednesday's attacks, Trump spoke again to journalists and stated that if Iran tries to retaliate for the bombings, the US will hit them 20 times more.
The Republican also stated that Iran got in touch wanting to make an agreement, after a new wave of American bombings on several regions of the Persian country.
"They have very little left and they really want to make a deal," Trump told reporters on Air Force One. Soon after, the president said he did not trust the Iranians to honor their commitment.

The attacks were confirmed by the American Armed Forces Central Command (Centcom). According to Centcom, the "additional attacks" against Iran were initiated to further weaken its ability to "threaten the freedom of navigation of the Strait of Hormuz."
"The United States is holding Iran accountable for recent unwarranted aggression against commercial ships and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway," the statement said.
Speaking to journalists at the NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday morning, Trump stated that he would carry out new bombings against Iran on Wednesday night. The US president added that the peace agreement with Tehran was "finished".
Iran has issued a warning that it will not back down in its management of the Strait of Hormuz, and that it is prepared to fight to maintain control over the waterway. The Strait of Hormuz is the world's main river trade route, mainly for the flow of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
