Digital influencer Ana Karoline de Sousa Rocha, known on social media as Karol Belchior, was stabbed to death in the early hours of this Saturday (4), in Horizonte, a municipality located in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza. The young woman was 27 years old and the main suspect in the crime is her ex-boyfriend, aged 26, who was arrested in the act and charged with feminicide.

Karol worked as a receptionist at a gym, was the mother of a boy and had around 500,000 followers on social media. On their profiles, they shared everyday moments, training videos, family records and also promoted online betting platforms.
Hours before the crime, on Friday night (3), the influencer published videos showing that she had participated in a São João party promoted by the gym where she worked. Afterwards, she went to a funk party. In recent posts, Karol had also reflected on the end of relationships and overcoming. In one of the messages, she wrote: "I already pay for everything myself, I manage on my own. If it's not to protect me, make me loved, pampered and respected, what will I want a man for?"
According to the information released, upon returning home, in the Diadema neighborhood, during the early hours of the morning, Karol was surprised by her ex-partner, who was already waiting for her at the residence. She was attacked with knife blows.
The victim was rescued and taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and died.
According to witnesses, the relationship between Karol and the suspect had recently ended. The man was located and arrested on the same day by Military Police teams. He was then taken to the Horizonte Civil Police Station, where he was charged with the crime of feminicide.
Despite the arrest, the identity of the suspect has not yet been released by the Civil Police or the Security Secretariat. The investigations continue to clarify how he managed to access the victim's residence and await his arrival, in addition to detailing the entire dynamics of the crime. The Civil Police, with the support of Forensic Expertise, continues to investigate the case until the investigation is concluded.
