In addition to the frontal nude and sex scenes, which led the series to be one of the most talked about topics in the country on X, the plot, which has new episodes every Thursday, will also address the betting market in Brazil. "I've already broken through, and I think this [the impact of bets] is an extremely contemporary issue, much questioned throughout this World Cup", says Reymond, via video call. He is the creator of the series alongside Thiago Dottori and Sofia Maria.
The heartthrob, one of Globo's most prestigious of his generation, even advertised for Bateubet when he was on the soap opera "Vale Tudo". In May of last year, however, Reymond canceled the contract with the company and stated that the decision was motivated by the impacts he began to observe from gambling addiction.
"I discovered a lot about how this mechanism works. As an artist, I think it's important to get into subjects that generate reflection, and not just entertainment", he says, regarding the appearance of betting houses in the next episodes of "Jogada de Risco".
"I'm curious about contradictory territories, where the layers of history and characters are enriched. I don't see why not touching on delicate subjects."
In the plot, Reymond is Maurício, a retired player and agent for Luan, Geraldo and other young talents from Atlântico, a fictional team presented as one of the biggest in Rio de Janeiro. In a way, his failed dream of being a star lives on in the new generation. Leticia Colin plays Rita, a pimp and former call girl who manages Daniele and has the players as her loyal clients.
