Greca will announce an alliance with Ratinho Junior's group to the Government of Paraná

Greca is expected to join the ticket as a candidate for vice-governor, but the details of the alliance are yet to be announced in a press conference scheduled for 2pm.

With a 12% share of voting intentions in the latest Genial/Quaest survey, the emedebista had been courted by competitors, but until now he maintained his speech that he would not give up.

The isolation of the MDB would have weighed on the decision. Greca has been walking without other parties on the ticket so far and allies recognize that there is little structure to maintain a competitive campaign until the polls.

The PSD has already achieved an alliance with the PP and União Brasil, in addition to the Republicans. Senator Sergio Moro's PL closed with Deltan Dallagnol's Novo party and Podemos, today under the command of the Francischini family, who until recently walked with Ratinho Junior.

In opposition, state deputy Requião Filho, from PDT, joined the PT.

Greca managed to find a successor in the Curitiba City Hall in the 2024 race, when he was still affiliated with the PSD, and was later housed in a secretariat of the Government of Paraná, with an eye on the possibility of moving to the Iguaçu Palace in 2026.

But the first obstacle arose at the beginning of the year, when it became clear that he was not preferred by Ratinho Junior to be the head of the election. In March, he left the PSD and went to the MDB, confirming his pre-candidacy for governor.

Within the PSD, there was a delay in choosing a name. Sandro Alex, who held the Infrastructure secretariat under the Ratinho Junior administration, was named pre-candidate in April and generated surprise even among supporters, as other names in the group were mentioned.

Since then, Ratinho Junior has been working on Sandro Alex's pre-campaign, but the poll numbers so far have generated apprehension in the group. A Quaest survey released this Monday (27) shows Sandro Alex with 7% of voting intentions, behind Greca (12%), Requião Filho (18%) and Moro (39%).

In an attempt to strengthen his ally's campaign, Ratinho Junior first invited Cristina Graeml to join the PSD, giving her space on the majority ticket, as Sandro Alex's deputy or as a candidate for one of the Senate seats.

In tune with Bolsonarism, Graeml was an ally of Moro, when both were in União Brasil, but the senator migrated to PL, in a move that already gave federal deputy Filipe Barros (PL) and former attorney Deltan Dallagnol (Novo) the two places on the ticket to run for the Senate.

After Graeml joined the PSD, the governor once again insisted on inviting Greca, who now gave in. The agreement should bring to the PSD ticket, in addition to Greca, also former senator Alvaro Dias (MDB), who is a pre-candidate for the Senate.

The doubt remains regarding the Senate. With the entry of Alvaro Dias, the ticket now has more than one name for the second vacancy, Graeml and state deputy Alexandre Curi (Republicans), who had already been announced by Ratinho Junior as the group's pre-candidate for the Senate.
