Federal deputy Erika Hilton decided to refute the appeal presented by SBT that provisionally suspended the order to show her right to respond to presenter Ratinho's speeches.

According to information from columnist Fábia Oliveira, the congressman presented his objections to the Court to respond to the appeal of the Abravanel family broadcaster, which seeks to reverse the ruling in favor of the congresswoman.

In the documents to which the column had access, Erika asked that the decision be maintained. He also argued that Ratinho's speeches do not constitute political criticism, but rather a deliberate attack on his gender identity. According to her, the presenter sought to depreciate her as a woman, and not as a deputy.

Also according to the columnist, Erika Hilton also alleges that SBT tried to “deceive” the Court by stating that she herself had released to the public the video produced to exercise the right of reply, attached to the case file when the action was filed. The parliamentarian denied having published the material, which went viral on social media, and stated that the broadcaster deliberately altered the truth of the facts.

According to the deputy, the objective of the change would be to mislead the Judiciary by maintaining that her right to reply would have lost its purpose due to publicity that was not promoted by her.

In view of this, the parliamentarian asked that SBT be condemned for litigation in bad faith and pay the fine provided for by law. The broadcaster has not yet commented on the case and the process will be analyzed again by the Court of Justice.
