(FOLHAPRESS) - Senator Damares Alves (Republicanos-DF) defended Michelle Bolsonaro and reiterated that Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) is "still" her pre-candidate, despite highlighting that the right has more than one name. The former Minister of Women, Family and Human Rights also asked people to "stop attacking right-wing soldiers".

"I'm getting beaten up, because I supposedly abandoned the right-wing candidate. Well, the right has more than one pre-candidate now. The right doesn't just have one pre-candidate, it has more than one, but the candidate, the pre-candidate nominated by former president [Jair] Bolsonaro is Flávio. I'm a Bolsonaro supporter, and Flávio Bolsonaro is still my pre-candidate", she stated in the Federal Senate plenary this Monday (13).

The information that she had stopped collaborating with the team responsible for preparing Flávio Bolsonaro's government plan was published by Metrópoles on Sunday. Damares told Igor Gadelha's column that he had already done what was necessary at the moment and would later return to "help with the transitional government".

However, according to the parliamentarian, this does not mean that she stopped supporting Flávio, but that she has already completed her participation in writing the plan. Since then, she says she has been attacked on social media. The speech in the plenary would be his self-defense.

"This is not how you are going to show Brazil that it is very good to be conservative, no. There are a lot of people rejecting our proposal, because they are saying: 'Is this what being conservative is? Attacking your own soldier, attacking your own army?'", he said.

“Who is behind this defamatory campaign against right-wing soldiers?” he asked.

The senator also defended Michelle Bolsonaro, whom she called a soldier and a friend. According to Alves, Michelle is being attacked for creating the Unstoppable movement, announced on PL Mulher networks last week.

"They are saying that she created a new party, that she created a new movement, that she wants to destroy Flávio... Guys, get to know each other before you speak! Michelle has countless fan club groups, and her former advisors set up another one, called Unstoppables. How crazy! What a difficult time we are living in in Brazil," said the senator.

In June, former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) posted a video in which she stated that the presidential pre-candidate disrespected, mistreated her and left it understood that he did not want her support, making public an intensification of the conflict between Bolsonaro supporters. Michelle also stated that there was "coordination of attacks from those abroad".

In March, Jair Bolsonaro even wrote a letter in which he said he regretted "the criticism from the right itself directed at some colleagues and my wife".

Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) has also been criticized by a Bolsonarist wing, which says he is not helping Flávio's campaign. Michelle left the presidency of PL Mulher in June and the position was abolished. Now, PL Mulher will only be led by the group's state presidents, according to the party's president, Valdemar Costa Neto.

Last week, Michelle's advisors created a new Instagram profile, Imparáveis ??MB, in which a video was published showing Wonder Woman fighting a "machine gun of lies".

Valdemar and Damares try to calm the relationship between Michelle and Flávio Bolsonaro

Parliamentarians say that, with Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in prison, the president of the PL sees the former first lady as one of the party's main political assets and knows that it is necessary to manage the crisis caused by the harsh criticism made by her to her stepson.
