When opening Facebook via the web version, users are faced with the following message: "Your account is currently unavailable due to a problem with the website. We hope to resolve this soon. Please try again in a few minutes."
As of 4:45 am (Brasília time), Downdetector had registered 174 notifications related to Facebook.
Furthermore, several internet users turned to the social network X (formerly Twitter) to ask if the problem is widespread.
Meanwhile, Downdetector also recorded "possible problems" on Instagram, another Meta platform. At 5:19 am (Brasília time), there were 144 failure notifications.
So far, Meta has not yet commented on the case, but the expectation is that services will be normalized soon.
