Brazilian rhythmic gymnastics team called up for World Cup

The Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBF) defined this Thursday (16) the list of candidates for the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championship, in Frankfurt (Germany), which will distribute six places for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics (LA28) – half of them destined for team competition and the rest for individual competition. Amarelinha arrives at the event packed, after good results in the first half of this year. The World Cup will take place from August 12th to 16th.

Coach Camila Ferezin kept a good part of the team that won gold and silver at the World Cup in Milan, Italy, last weekend. Among those invited are Maria Eduarda Arakaki, Julia Kurunczi, Maria Paula Caminha, Nicole Pírcio and Sofia Madeira Pereira. Check out the complete list at the end of the text.

In the individual competition, Brazil will be represented by gymnasts Bárbara Domingos (Babi), Geovanna Santos da Silva (Jojô) and Maria Eduarda Alexandre. In June, Brazil won eight medals at the Pan-American Gymnastics Championships in Rio de Janeiro, three of which were gold. Jojô was champion in the bow and ribbon, and Babi in the maces.

In last year's World Cup, also in Rio, the Brazilian team won two silvers.
