The coach did not hide his dissatisfaction with the team's behavior, especially in the first half, and indicated that the aspect had an unfavorable impact on the overall vision of the duel.
"More than a question of strategy, there was a lack of dynamics, speed in movement and aggressiveness with the ball in the first half", he began.
"For much of the first half, what happened? We circulated the ball, but we just passed it from one player to another. The ball went to the right, came back again and, many times, we even ended up facilitating São Paulo's pressure. From the moment we started to have this aggressiveness and move the ball forward, São Paulo, even pressing on one side, could no longer balance itself on the other. That's when we started to have greater offensive power", said Jardim.
The coach, on the other hand, saw progress within the match, with what was presented in the second half, after a clear message during the break.
"When I arrived at halftime, I wrote a word on the board we have inside our cabin: aggressiveness. Aggressiveness with the ball. You analyzed this move very well, because it was precisely the example I used to talk about aggressiveness with the ball", pondered Jardim.
