During a live broadcast, Mariana stated that she was deeply impacted by the repercussion of her philosophy of life, based on an upbringing more connected to nature and far from large urban centers. According to her, she decided to speak out after seeing offensive comments in a publication on the subject.
The yoga teacher said she is used to criticism, but was surprised by the intensity of the messages. She said that she was called an "heiress" in a pejorative tone and stated that many people associate her choices with the fact that she supposedly has financial privileges. "They say it's easy to raise children without screens or live that way because I have money. They don't even know my story and they make that kind of judgment," he declared.
Throughout her outburst, Mariana reinforced that her decisions about raising her children are the result of experiences, studies and learning accumulated throughout her life. She also highlighted that her options are not intended to belittle or criticize the way other families educate children.
