Teams from the Madrid Community Emergency Medical Service (SUMMA 112) were called to respond to the incident, according to information released by the organization itself on social media.
However, according to the newspaper 20 Minutos, the case was only reported by rescuers at 1:06 am on Sunday.
The elderly woman, who was undergoing oxygen therapy, was stabilized at the scene and taken to La Paz Hospital in serious condition, with burns to her face.
