On the manufacturer's official website, some orders for the MacBook Air are only expected to be shipped at the end of August. In certain configurations, the deadline can advance until September.

According to Gurman, Apple is trying to reduce the problem by increasing RAM memory orders from Chinese suppliers. The measure, however, may not be enough to quickly normalize stocks.
The situation gains weight as the back-to-school period approaches, when demand for computers grows. The MacBook Air is usually among the most sought after models by students.
For now, the problem seems restricted to this device within Apple's notebook line. The MacBook Pro and the latest MacBook Neo still appear on the company's website and are expected to ship during the first half of August.
