When he returned, the equipment he was using, called a fall arrester, failed and was unable to prevent him from falling into the silo. Agents from the Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called. Together with the Civil Defense, they unblocked the silo and removed Adauto's body. The Military Police isolated the site, which was inspected by the Scientific Police. The circumstances of the accident will be investigated.
