Of the total voters in Petrolina, 81,801 (which is equivalent to 32.96%) have completed secondary education. The number of illiterates is 3.35%, while 9.74% have completed higher education. Regarding color and race, TRE data shows that 64.98% of voters in the municipality declare themselves mixed race, 22.6% white, 11.64% black, 0.39% yellow and 0.38% indigenous. Regarding gender identity, 84.13% of Petrolina voters declare themselves cisgender. Another 15.54% preferred not to inform and 0.33% are transgender. Petrolina has 43 registered voters eligible to vote. Numbers from Pernambuco Pernambuco has 7,225,744 people eligible to vote in the 2026 elections.
