Ecovias Imigrantes receives the Yellow Maio Highlights Award, from the National Road Safety Observatory, for traffic awareness and safety initiatives. Disclosure At the end of June, Ecovias Imigrantes received the Yellow Maio Highlights Award, granted by the National Road Safety Observatory (ONSV). The concessionaire was the winner in the Private Initiative category, in recognition of the educational actions carried out during Yellow May, with emphasis on the “Conversas Interrompidas” campaign. Promoted annually, the Yellow May campaign brings together public and private institutions in actions aimed at raising awareness in society about the importance of safe behavior in traffic to preserve life. Throughout the month of May, Ecovias Imigrantes carried out more than 20 educational activities aimed at drivers, motorcyclists, pedestrians, cyclists and truck drivers. Activities included the distribution of gifts and educational pamphlets, as well as guidance on safe driving and behaviors capable of reducing accidents on the highways. Among the highlights recognized by the award is the “Interrupted Conversations” campaign, developed by EcoRodovias for Yellow May 2026. With the concept “Driving well is not luck — it's a decision”, the initiative used emotional narratives to show how apparently simple decisions, such as using a cell phone while driving, speeding or driving under the influence of alcohol, can interrupt stories and cause irreversible consequences. The campaign is based on the critical fact that around 90% of traffic accidents in Brazil are related to human error, transforming statistics into stories capable of bringing the issue closer to the reality of highway users and encouraging more responsible choices. All initiatives were also widely publicized on the dealership's digital channels, expanding the reach of awareness messages. The content published during Yellow May totaled more than 120 thousand views on Ecovias Imigrantes' social networks, contributing to the recognition granted by the National Road Safety Observatory. "Receiving, for the first time, this recognition from the National Road Safety Observatory reinforces the importance of promoting road safety also through communication and education. The actions developed during Yellow May show that raising awareness among different audiences is fundamental to encouraging safer behavior and contributing to the preservation of lives on the highways", highlights Douglas Albiero, Road Operations coordinator at Ecovias Imigrantes. The Yellow Maio Highlights Award recognizes organizations that develop initiatives aimed at promoting road safety and contribute to strengthening the movement across the country, valuing projects capable of increasing society's awareness of preserving life in traffic. Safety on different fronts In addition to the educational campaigns, which are not only carried out in Yellow May, but throughout the year, the concessionaire also promotes permanent guidance actions for users, operational simulations with emergency agencies, activities aimed at motorcyclists and truck drivers and traffic education initiatives in schools and communities. These actions complement investments in monitoring, operational support and conservation of highways, seeking to act both in preventing and responding to incidents. Throughout the concession, the Anchieta-Imigrantes System also began to incorporate new monitoring and communication technologies with users, reinforcing the integration between infrastructure, operations and traffic education. Fifty years after the inauguration of Rodovia dos Imigrantes and 28 years after the beginning of the concession, road safety remains one of the pillars of Ecovias Imigrantes' activities.
