Wind in Campos causes damage The wind that hit Campos dos Goytacazes, in North Fluminense, on Wednesday night (29) caused damage in different parts of the city. The gusts of wind ripped tiles from a warehouse in the town of Donana, in Baixada Campista, and a plate from a solar panel came off and hit the windshield of a car on Rua Tenente Coronel Cardoso, in the Center. In Donana, a resident recorded on video the moment the aluminum roof tiles were lifted by the force of the wind. The images show part of the roof twisted and out of place. ? The largest number of calls was registered in the capital. Despite the forecast of strong winds for this Thursday (30) in North Fluminense, meteorology technician Carlos Augusto explains that the gusts are not expected to reach the same intensity as those recorded the previous night. According to him, the tendency is for the system to advance towards the sea throughout the day, reducing impacts in the region. The meteorologist also warns that extreme events, such as intense winds, have become increasingly frequent. Therefore, the recommendation is to follow weather warnings and avoid staying close to trees, metal structures and objects that could be thrown by the wind.
