Initially, she stated that she had given Berenice a ride on the stretch from Ubatumirim to the Toninhas neighborhood. Later, he changed the story and said that he left the employee at the Ubatumirim interchange, from where she would go alone to Toninhas. The businesswoman also stated that, after the ride, she returned home. However, according to the Civil Police, images from monitoring cameras and radar records show that she did not return to the residence. The vehicle was spotted in Paraty, on the south coast of Rio de Janeiro. Based on this route, the police delimited an area of ??approximately 93 kilometers for the investigation, between the Ubatumirim neighborhood, in Ubatuba, and the city of Angra dos Reis (RJ). The route considers the movement of the truck after the ride given to the cook. During the execution of the search and temporary arrest warrants, the car used by Eliane was found with repair marks compatible with damage caused by gunshots. According to the investigation, when the police arrived at the businesswoman's house, she threw a cell phone into a wooded area. Based on the evidence gathered, the Civil Police began investigating her on suspicion of murder. Eliane has been temporarily detained since last Friday.
