Within a radius of up to three kilometers from confirmed outbreaks, vaccination against rabies is mandatory for all mammals, with a booster dose after 30 days. The guideline is that producers immediately report to Idaron any suspicion of animals showing symptoms such as: aggressiveness; difficulty walking; excessive salivation; sudden changes in behavior; other neurological signs. The agency also recommends that no one have direct contact with sick or dead animals. In these cases, Idaron must be contacted so that health measures can be adopted quickly.
