Evangelical Church Assembly of God in Porto Velho Reproduction/Rondoniaovivo The Court of Auditors of the State of Rondônia (TCE-RO) investigates the use of public money to pave the parking lot of the Church Assembly of God, in Porto Velho. The work was carried out in July 2025. According to the court, servers, machines and materials from the City of Porto Velho and the government of Rondônia were used in the service. The loss to public coffers is estimated at more than R$259,000. Of this total, the Sociedade Evangélica Beneficente (SEB), linked to the church, has already returned R$3,000 after an agreement with the Public Ministry. In this part of the investigation, there are still R$6,300 to be reimbursed. The majority of the loss, around R$250,200, involves the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat (Seinfra). According to TCE-RO technicians, the department irregularly used city hall asphalt, trucks and compaction rollers in the work. The State Department of Highways and Transport (DER-RO) is also being investigated. According to the court, the agency lent machines and servers to transport and spread the asphalt, which generated an expense of R$9,300. The asphalt was laid at the Great Temple of the Assembly of God, located in the Tiradentes neighborhood, east of Porto Velho. The place has the capacity to receive around 7 thousand people. Evidence and satellite images To prove the suspicions, the auditors used satellite images, carried out inspections and analyzed photos with date and location. The images show Seinfra trucks working in the church parking lot. With this evidence, the court rejected the version presented by Porto Velho City Hall at the beginning of the investigation. At the time, the municipality stated that it only sent a tanker truck with reused water to the site to reduce dust. The case rapporteur gave 15 days for those involved to present a defense. If they do not respond, the case will be judged even without their manifestation. g1 contacted Porto Velho City Hall and the Government of Rondônia, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
