This is the best result among the municipalities in Vale do Paraíba in the period. The data points to an increase in the sector with the approval of new projects by Seplan (Urban Planning and Housing Secretariat). In 2025, 44 residential buildings, 856 residences and 164 commercial and industrial projects were approved. Many of them started this year. This is the best result since 2021. In 2025, in the same period, civil construction was responsible for 67 new jobs. In other words, the increase is 443% compared to last year. From January to May, Taubaté created 1,461 new jobs. The civil construction sector was the second one that created the most vacancies, behind only services, responsible for 1,103 new jobs.
