Copper recycling factory was the target of attempted robbery, in Itaquaquecetuba Vitória Borelli/TV Diário A man died and three were arrested during an attempted robbery at a copper recycling factory, in the early afternoon of this Thursday (30), in Parque São Pedro, in Itaquaquecetuba. According to the Military Police, there was an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and the police officers who responded to the incident. ? Click to follow the g1 Mogi das Cruzes e Suzano channel on WhatsApp According to Military Police Corporal Bruno Tavares, ten suspects arrived at the factory, posed as civil police officers and entered the location. They then gathered the employees in a room and announced the robbery. The Military Police were called at around 1:20 pm. When the police arrived at the factory, there was an exchange of gunfire with the suspects, who were armed. Two suspects were shot during the confrontation. According to the Fire Department, one of them was rescued and taken to Santa Marcelina Hospital, in Itaquaquecetuba. The other died at the scene. Of the ten suspects, six managed to escape. One died at the scene and another was shot, rescued and arrested. Two other suspects were also arrested. Police seized three vehicles and three weapons used in the robbery attempt. The arrested suspects, the weapons and the seized vehicles were taken to the Itaquaquecetuba Central Police Station, where the incident was recorded. Watch more news about Alto Tietê
