Resident prays while watching tornado approaching in RS A new video recorded by residents of Giruá, in the Northwest of RS, shows the moments of tension experienced by a family when they noticed the approach of the tornado that hit the municipality last Tuesday (28). The phenomenon also reached the cities of Sete de Setembro and Senador Salgado Filho. In Giruá alone, around 15 families were affected by the tornado. The author of the video, Dirce Jeziorski, was at home with her son and a four-year-old grandson when she noticed the phenomenon forming. During the recording, Dirce appears praying: "The noise was sad to hear. And then we saw it coming towards us and what you can do is pray. The three of us ended up shouting while praying", he recalls. Amid his nervousness, the grandson alerts: "It's coming." Shortly afterwards, Dirce's son suggests that everyone go down to the basement of the residence. Out of fear, the family took shelter in place while they watched the tornado move. Despite the scare, the house where they were staying was not hit. According to the report, the phenomenon changed direction before reaching the property.
