Rain becomes heavy again in RS The Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul issued a warning for the arrival of a new period of instability between Sunday (26) and Tuesday (28), with forecasts of storms, heavy rain, strong winds and an increased risk of flooding in different regions of the state. According to the agency, the forecast weather conditions begin on Sunday, when areas of the Northwest, North, Northeast, Serra, Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre and the North Coast may record isolated thunderstorms, accompanied by heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail. ? The combination of systems favors rain in practically all regions of Rio Grande do Sul over the next few days. The most worrying scenario, however, is expected between Monday (27) and Tuesday (28). The forecast indicates more intense storms, with the possibility of larger hail, winds that can exceed 90 km/h and large volumes of rain in a short period of time. The largest accumulations should occur in the West, Campanha, Center, South, Costa Doce, Metropolitan Region, Vales, Serra and Coast regions. In these places, volumes can exceed 120 millimeters and reach up to 200 millimeters over 48 hours.
