Police arrest suspect and seize drugs hidden in an abandoned building in the Diamante neighborhood, in São Luís Disclosure/ Civil Police A man was arrested this Friday morning (24), suspected of drug trafficking in the Diamante neighborhood, in the central region of São Luís. Sniffer dogs helped the Civil Police locate drugs hidden in an abandoned building. The operation was carried out by teams from the State Superintendency for the Repression of Drug Trafficking (Senarc). The investigations began after reports of drug sales near the parking lot of a higher education institution. ? The work made it possible to confirm signs of criminal activity and identify the suspect. During the approach, the police found portions of a substance similar to crack near the suspect. With the support of the Dog Operations Unit (K9), the team also searched an abandoned building that, according to the investigation, was used to hide drugs. Another portion of the same substance was located at the scene. Drugs, money and cards were found in the residence. The teams went to the suspect's house, where they found portions of crack and cocaine already divided and, according to the police, prepared for sale. Also seized were: two precision scales; R$835.50 in cash; nine bank cards in other people's names. All material was sent for analysis and should assist in the continuity of the investigations. After legal proceedings, he was sent to the prison system and remains at the disposal of the Court.
