'Retrô Brasil' brings together Biafra, Lostalgia and Leonardo Sullivan in Belém. Disclosure Belém hosts this Saturday (11) a journey through the greatest hits of Brazilian popular music with the event "Retrô Brasil". The night promises to mix reinterpretations and authorial interpretations, bringing together the band Lostalgia, the renowned voice of Biafra and the special participation of the romantic Leonardo Sullivan. The show starts at 8pm. Formed by a repertoire that includes renowned hits, Lostalgia, from Maranhão, is known for versions that have returned to circulation on the radio and on the networks: among the interpretations that usually touch the public are "A Vizinha", "A Raposa e as Uvas", "Doce Doce Amor", "Cadeira de Rodas" and " Quando Chegar o Ajante". Biafra, from Rio de Janeiro, brings songs that marked his career, such as "Sonho de Ícaro", "Leão Ferido", "Seu Nome", "Te Amo" and "Helena", and promises to mix memory and emotion in his performances. From Pernambuco, Leonardo Sullivan, special attraction of the night, reinforces the emotional connection he has with the North of the country. In an interview with g1, he highlighted the importance of seeing the public sing his songs. "Knowing that this song will become part of a crowd, making what we do public is very gratifying. That's something I'm grateful for every day. There's no money in the world that can pay for that," said the singer. ? Three months after the album came out, it had already sold, at the time, 70 thousand. And then my contract was automatically renewed for four more LPs in a row", he recalls. The artist stated that he was looking forward to the night and revealed that he was surprised and happy with the invitation to the project. "It's a very pleasant surprise," he said. Biafra, with a career that began in school groups and consolidated itself in the popular music scene, also highlighted in an interview with g1 the musical training that marked his career and what brings him closer to the public today. "The school we attended gave us very good musical training", he recalled. For Biafra, the movement to rescue the past, which he associates with the project that brings Lostalgia back to the classics, is also a form of cultural resistance. "The Lostalgia boys are going in search of the past to find a path to the future. And I just feel flattered by that," he said. The meeting on stage, which will bring together interpretations of old hits and original songs, is celebrated by the artists themselves as a dialogue between generations. Alysson Fernandes, from the band Lostalgia, says that the show brings together classics that "deserve all the respect". "We also make a point of showing who we are through our original songs. In short, it's a very natural balance." For him, singing on the same stage as Biafra and Sullivan "is a very great privilege." "They are artists who were part of my musical formation and the lives of millions of Brazilians. Anyway, sharing the stage with them is a source of great pride and also the certainty that we are on the right path, bringing good music to more and more people", said Alysson. "Having on the stage, sharing with me and me sharing with them, Biafra, Lostalgia, me, Biafra and Lostalgia on the same stage... it's going to be gratifying." Biafra, in turn, praised Sullivan's simplicity and the strength of the songs. "He's a super cool guy and I always meet him when I go to Recife. An extremely simple person, a person who carries his truth in his songs, and this will be shown in the show, for sure." "Our dream is to continue taking this show to all regions of Brazil. We work daily to deliver an increasingly better show, with structure, quality and lots of emotion. A work for those who love the music that marked generations", said Alysson.
