Disclosure/UEMA The State University of Maranhão (Uema) has registrations open until July 24th for the Selection Process for Access to Higher Education (PAES 2027), which offers 5,680 places for in-person undergraduate courses. Of this total, 4,755 places are distributed across the 20 Uema campuses, and 925 places are allocated to the three campuses of the State University of the Tocantina Region of Maranhão (UemaSul). Interested parties must register exclusively online, through the institution's official website. The fee is R$85, and the deadline for payment is July 27th. The PAES 2027 tests will be administered in a single stage on November 22nd, from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and will consist of objective multiple-choice questions and text production. ? Furthermore, there was an increase in the number of vacancies for the Officer Training Course (CFO) of the Maranhão Military Police (PMMA), with 40 vacancies for male and female personnel, and 25 vacancies for the Maranhão Military Fire Brigade (CBMMA). The entrance exam will select candidates for the Bachelor's Degree in Public Security and Bachelor's Degree in Public Occupational Security courses. The selection process will also have a quota system, which reserves half of the places (50%) for candidates who completed all of high school in public schools. Within this reserve, 25% of places are allocated to students from families with a per capita income of up to two minimum wages. The system also includes ethnic-racial quotas for indigenous, quilombola and self-declared black and brown candidates, following the proportion of the Maranhão population, in addition to reserving 5% of vacancies for People with Disabilities (PWD).
