Man suspected of raping a vulnerable person in Ribamar Ficane is charged with illegal possession of a firearm Reproduction The Civil Police of Maranhão (PC-MA) served, this Friday (24), a preventive arrest warrant and a search and seizure warrant against a man identified by investigations for raping a vulnerable person against an 11-year-old child, in the municipality of Ribamar Ficane, 681 km from São Luís. The accused is married to the victim's maternal grandfather. The action was carried out by teams from the 10th Regional Police Station of Imperatriz and the Civil Police Station of Ribamar Ficane. According to the investigations, on March 2 of this year, the victim's mother, accompanied by members of the Guardianship Council, attended the police station to report the sexual conduct carried out by the person being investigated against her daughter. ?Click here to follow the g1 MA channel on WhatsApp The crime was discovered after a witness looked, in the trash of the child's cell phone image gallery, at around 5 to 6 photo and video files in which the minor appeared undressed. When questioned by her mother, the victim revealed that the recipient of the photos was the suspect, her maternal grandmother's current partner. The victim was sent to the IML for a forensic examination, and the coroner technically certified the presence of traces of libidinous acts other than carnal intercourse. Given the evidence of crimes, the court issued court orders against the person being investigated. During the search and seizure at the residence of the person being investigated, the police teams seized two firearms, a .22 caliber shotgun and a homemade shotgun type weapon, as well as ammunition and a cell phone. With the material located, the man was taken to the Imperatriz Central Station, where he was charged with illegal possession of firearms. After the legal procedures, the person under investigation remained in custody and at the disposal of the Judiciary.
