According to Taubaté City Hall, the victim is an 83-year-old woman, resident of the central region of the city, who had chronic kidney disease. The death occurred on July 22. She had tested positive for dengue on July 3. Investigation continues in Tremembé The third death from dengue in Tremembé was also included by the State in the disease statistics. According to City Hall, the victim was an elderly resident of the city who had other comorbidities. He initially received care at the Municipal Emergency Room and, due to the severity of his clinical condition, was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Municipal University Hospital of Taubaté (Hmut), where he died. Other information about the victim was not released. The City Hall also highlighted that the case remains under investigation by health authorities, in accordance with the Epidemiological Surveillance protocols of the State of São Paulo and that the cause of death on the death certificate can still be changed.
