Areas in the northern half of the state remain alert for more intense rain and isolated occurrences of thunderstorms, especially between dawn and morning. According to the forecast, the Serra, Alto Uruguai and Planalto are among the regions with the greatest potential for more significant rainfall. In isolated points, rainfall volumes can approach 50 millimeters throughout the period. Throughout the afternoon, the expectation is for a gradual reduction in instabilities as the system advances towards Santa Catarina and Paraná. Even so, the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region is expected to experience periods of rain. There is no indication of severe events for the area. In the southern half and in the Campanha, precipitation tends to occur weakly and sporadically. In the west of Rio Grande do Sul, mainly in municipalities in the Uruguaiana region, the arrival of colder and drier air favors the reduction of clouds and even the occurrence of sunlight. Temperatures remain lower than those recorded in recent days, and the feeling of cold is expected to predominate in much of the state. The agency predicts volumes of between 20 and 30 millimeters per hour or up to 50 millimeters per day, with a low risk of flooding and small landslides in vulnerable areas. The alert covers regions of the Southwest, Southeast, Central East, Serra, Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre and Northeast of the state. A storm warning is also in effect, equally with a severity level of potential danger, valid until the end of Wednesday. The areas cited by the institute are the Northwest and Northeast of Rio Grande do Sul. What the rest of the week will be like Thursday (23) should mark the advance of a mass of cold and dry air over the state. The trend is for weather conditions to improve in practically all regions, accompanied by a drop in temperatures. The sun appears between clouds mainly in the West, Campaign, Western Border, Center and Northwest. In the Eastern half, including the Metropolitan Region, the Valleys, the Coast and part of the Northeast, the sky remains more cloudy, with the possibility of drizzle or light rain without significant volumes. On Friday (24), the weather remains stable in much of Rio Grande do Sul. However, a new cold front is expected to increase cloudiness and favor rain showers between the afternoon and evening in the Northwest, North and extreme north of the state. In other regions, the forecast indicates the presence of sun between clouds and the absence of significant rain. The mornings remain cold, while temperatures gradually rise throughout the afternoon.
