The main suspicion is that the body is that of Gabriély Miklaely Gomes Oliveira, aged 21, who has been missing since June 9th. ? According to delegate João Beffa, from the General Investigations Police Station (DIG) of Ourinhos, the body was found on July 10, about a month after the young woman's disappearance, and was in an advanced state of decomposition. "It's been a month since the disappearance. It was difficult to find out or recognize the body, especially because the internal organs were already deteriorated. We couldn't even tell if there were signs of violence", explained the police chief in an interview with g1. During the investigations, two men were arrested and remain detained at the Cerqueira César Penitentiary. A third suspect has not yet been located. According to the delegate, with the location of the body, the Civil Police managed to gather elements to request the temporary arrest of the three investigated. Investigations The investigations began after witnesses reported that Gabriély had been kidnapped and taken to the riverbank. The young woman would have stolen money and drugs from drug dealers and, according to the investigation, three men would have participated in the kidnapping. The suspects allegedly took Gabriély to the riverbank and attacked her. The two arrested men deny having killed Gabriély. They claim that they only assaulted the young woman and left her at the scene, denying that they threw her body into the river. Before locating the body, three searches were carried out in Rio Pardo, in Ourinhos, with support from the Fire Department. According to the delegate, the suspicion is that the body was trapped in structures in the river and was subsequently carried by the current to Salto Grande. "There's wire there in the river, because the flood comes through, rips out a fence, there's a tree trunk, there's a stone, there's a tree antler. So this body must have been tangled up there. Then, with the decomposition process, it became lighter and the body floated and ended up in Salto Grande", he explained. Identification of the body The body remains at the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) of Ourinhos. Initially, the police tried to use dental records to confirm the identity, but the medical records found did not have enough information for comparison. A fingerprint identification exam was also carried out using material collected from the body. If the result is not conclusive, the Civil Police must resort to DNA testing. Genetic material has already been collected from the young woman's daughter and sister for comparison.
