Pursuit of businessman ends in fight and death in Bebedouro The Civil Police are investigating the circumstances of a fight involving three people that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man in Bebedouro (SP) this week. According to police chief João Vitor Silvério, a 40-year-old businessman was surprised by two men in a car (see security camera images above), while leaving work, was chased to a house, where he fought with the suspects and ended up stabbing one of them, who died. One of the suspicions is that he had previously been threatened after a fight in the region of São José do Rio Preto (SP). Reproduction/ Security cameras "The investigations so far indicate that, some time ago, this businessman would have been involved in a fight during a horse ride held in Tanabí and after this episode he would have been threatened", stated the delegate. A third man involved in the fight fled and had not been identified until this news was last updated. Persecution, fight and death in Bebedouro The case happened last Tuesday night (21) in Jardim Aeroporto. Security camera footage recorded the moment the businessman was leaving the place where he works when a car approached with two suspects. Scared, he ran down the street and hid in a house, but, according to police, the other two men went after him and found him in the property. "These individuals invaded the house, inside the property they started attacking the businessman, who allegedly retaliated against these attacks." According to the police, the businessman fought with the duo, ended up injured, but stabbed one of them, who died. The other fled before authorities arrived. After the fight, the businessman spoke to the police and claimed to have acted in self-defense. "So far, testimonies have been collected from some witnesses that confirm this businessman's version, which is why he was no longer charged in flagrante delicto, as he had, in principle, acted in self-defense," said Silvério.
