Meteorologist predicts more frosts and then a respite from the cold, in Paraná The cold returned to Paraná this Monday (13), but it already has an end date. The state woke up with -0.6ºC in General Carneiro, in the south, and could reach more than 34ºC at the weekend, in Loanda, in the northwest. The estimate is from the Paraná Environmental Technology and Monitoring System (Paraná), which indicates that on Tuesday (14) and Wednesday (15) frosts can still be recorded in the state. Follow the g1 PR channel on WhatsApp This Monday (13) some frosts were recorded in part of the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (RMC) and in the center-south of Paraná. According to Simepar, minimum temperatures reached below 5ºC in at least 20 cities. See the table below. The agency states that, in most of the state, the day will have mostly sun and few clouds, but even so it should not get too hot in the afternoon — maximum temperatures should be close to 23°C, in the northwest. Tuesday (14) remains cold in Paraná, still due to the presence of the polar air mass. Simepar states that temperatures will remain below 10°C in practically all regions, and there is a greater possibility of frost in the center-south, southwest and Campos Gerais (see the map below). "However, there is also a condition for the formation of fog in the higher altitude regions (Centro-South, Campos Gerais and RMC), a situation that prevents the formation of frost. Throughout the afternoon the sun predominates in the interior, while in the east the cloudiness is variable", say the meteorologists. Temperatures are still low in the morning, and the occurrence of frost cannot be ruled out in regions without the formation of clouds and fog. "On Thursday it gets quite hot in the afternoon in the west and north. On Friday the weather remains stable, with very high temperatures in the West, Northwest and North (close to 30ºC)". It should get even hotter over the weekend; Saturday (18) and Sunday (19) should be sunny, with minimums above 12ºC and maximums of up to 34ºC.
