Conflicts between Brazilians who had occupied the region since the mid-1870s and the Bolivian government to which the territory legally belonged due to land exploration rights had already lasted just over three years. The main interest of both groups was the exploitation of latex. The clashes only ended in 1903 with the annexation of Acre to Brazil. Business hours at state agencies will resume normally on Monday (10). By state decree, the day of the Acre Revolution is considered an optional event.
