Maintenance will affect supply in Manaus The interruption in water supply will occur from 6am to 6pm this Wednesday (5) to carry out scheduled maintenance at the Ponta do Ismael Water Production Complex, operated by Águas de Manaus. According to the concessionaire, the two treatment plants that operate in the complex will be temporarily shut down. The service is part of the preparation actions for the Amazon Summer, a period of increased water consumption in the capital. After the system is restarted, scheduled for early evening, supply will gradually resume. In areas closest to Ponta do Ismael, normalization should occur within 12 hours. In the highest neighborhoods of the city, complete recovery of the system may take up to 48 hours, with normalization expected by Friday (7). The concessionaire advises residents to reserve water for essential needs and avoid waste during the interruption period. In addition to maintenance at Ponta do Ismael, the company's teams will carry out 38 services at other operational units in the city, including changing valves, cleaning and preventive inspections. During the interruption, water tankers will be used to supply essential services, such as hospitals, health units and schools located in the affected areas.
