The first flight took off at 2:10 pm this Monday (13) from Canoas Air Base, in Rio Grande do Sul, with 16 tons of powdered milk. The second flight takes off this Tuesday (14) from Porto Alegre International Airport, transporting the other 32 tons of product. The two aircraft are expected to arrive on Wednesday (15). In 2025, Brazil had already made a humanitarian donation to Cuba in response to the impacts caused by Hurricane Melissa, whose effects are still felt in the eastern region of the country, where the city of Santiago de Cuba is located.
