According to the Municipal Health Department, the new vaccine offers coverage against a greater number of serotypes of the bacteria compared to Pneumo 10, currently used, and will gradually replace it in the public network. During the transition to the new vaccine, a mixed vaccination schedule will be adopted: at 2 months of age: one dose of Pneumo 20; at 4 months of age: one dose of Pneumo 10; at 12 months of age: a booster dose of Pneumo 20.
