In relation to Presidente João Suassuna Airport, in Campina Grande, Aena reported that in the first half of the year there were a total of 69,777 passengers. However, this number represents a drop in total passengers compared to the same period last year, a drop of 8.9%. Regarding the number of operations that both airports had, also considering the first half of the year, combined, the locations had 10,575 operations. In João Pessoa, there were 8,682, while in Campina Grande the record was 1,893. Both cities showed an increase of 8.1% and 6.3%, respectively, compared to last year. The survey also brought cargo numbers, in tons, during the first half of 2026. At the airport in João Pessoa, 4,706 tons were registered, while in Campina Grande 221, in the first six months of the year. In João Pessoa, this number of loads in tons represented a growth of 76.7% compared to the same period last year. In Campina Grande, on the other hand, the number represented a decrease of 16.1%.
