They had left a meeting with a friend and Fabiana's older sister, saying they were going to "sort out some things", and did not return. The couple's car was found open and abandoned next to the Praia Grande Provisional Detention Center (CDP), on the 11th. The bodies were in a forested area in the Samaritá neighborhood. According to the police record obtained by g1, the advanced state of decomposition of the victims prevented immediate clarification of the cause of death at the scene. That day, she, her older sister, Ieda and Fabiana had lunch together. Then, the couple and the older sister went to a friend's house, where they stayed until around 11pm. After the older sister left with her young son, Ieda and Fabiana announced that they would leave to "sort out some things", without providing further details. The last messages were received by the couple at 11:37 pm, as recorded on the application. Then the phones stopped receiving calls. Witnesses told family members that they last saw the couple in the Samaritá neighborhood, in São Vicente, that night. Car found Ieda and Fabiana disappeared after leaving the car in Praia Grande. Later that day, the family called the Military Police on 190 and was informed about an abandoned vehicle near the Praia Grande Provisional Detention Center (CDP). Fabiana's older sister went to the scene and confirmed that the car belonged to the couple. The car was open and documents, bags, keys and one of the women's cell phones were found inside. The other device was not located.
