The accident happened at kilometer 31 of the highway. The images recorded shortly after the rollover show that the minibus left the road, knocked down the side protection, fell into a bank and toppled over in the middle of the vegetation. The occupants' personal objects, such as sandals, cell phones and luggage, were scattered across the floor. The vehicle's side and windshield windows were destroyed in the rollover. Before the arrival of emergency teams, drivers passing through PA-160 stopped to help the minibus occupants. Teams from Samu and the Fire Department were called and rescued the victims. During the service, the State Highway Police guided drivers passing through the section, as traffic in both directions of the road was slow. The stretch of PA-160 between Parauapebas and Canaã dos Carajás requires extra attention due to the curves and intense movement of heavy vehicles. The circumstances of the accident must be clarified after the investigation. The vehicle's tire and suspension system, which were heavily damaged, must also be analyzed. The causes of the rollover must be investigated by the State Highway Police.
