According to the Civil Police, the arrest was made after an anonymous tip reported that a patient had been admitted to the hospital carrying narcotics in his body. The police went to the hospital and located the man, who allegedly confessed to the crime. ? The promise, according to him, was to receive R$20,000 for transporting the drugs. The man informed the police that he managed to expel 73 capsules in the European country, but returned to Brazil with another 38 still in his system. The suspect arrived in Rio Grande do Norte on Friday (10). The following day, he sought medical attention due to severe abdominal pain. Initially, the medical team adopted procedures to try to eliminate the capsules naturally. However, according to the Civil Police, given the risk of the casings breaking and serious poisoning, surgery was necessary to remove the material. After receiving medical discharge and having his health stabilized, the man was charged with the crime of drug trafficking and remains at the disposal of the Court.
