Jiu-jitsu teacher is arrested at gym suspected of raping 14-year-old student in Manaus A 33-year-old jiu-jitsu teacher was arrested on Monday (20), in the West Zone of Manaus, suspected of raping a 14-year-old student. The arrest took place at the gym where he taught, in the Nova Esperança neighborhood. According to the Amazonas Civil Police, the suspect allegedly committed the abuse at the end of 2025. He went to the teenager's house under the argument that he intended to hire her father, who works as a tattoo artist. Upon realizing that the girl was alone in the property, the man allegedly committed the crime. The case began to be investigated after the victim's father approached the Specialized Police Station for Child and Adolescent Protection (Depca) to register the complaint. Based on the investigation, the Amazonas Court issued a preventive arrest warrant against the suspect. ? Police reported that investigations continue to determine whether there are other victims of the suspect.
