The drink seized by the inspection bodies remains under analysis, as well as the biological samples collected from the six survivors. In more serious cases, the substance can cause paralysis of the respiratory muscles and lead to death. The product is authorized for agricultural use in Brazil and is considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) to be a highly dangerous pesticide.
