According to Climatempo, this Friday's rain will be isolated, occurring mainly between the afternoon and evening. In Porto Alegre, the weather is muggy, with sun between many clouds and strong wind, but with little chance of rain. Saturday (18) will be a day with high meteorological risk due to the advance of a cold front. The instability begins at dawn along the Western Border and Campaign, advancing towards the center of the state throughout the day. On Sunday (19), the cold front remains practically stationary over the state, causing persistent rain. Western Border, Campaign, Central Region, Missions and part of the Valleys concentrate the largest volumes. Throughout the day, instability advances to the northern half, leaving the weather closed and rainy in the Serra, the Planalto and the Metropolitan Region. Monday (20) continues with frequent rain in practically all regions. The areas most at risk are the West, Campaign, Center, Missions, Valleys, Metropolitan Region and South Zone. In these areas there is a chance of gusts exceeding 90 km/h, flooding and stream overflows. In the Metropolitan Region, the risk for storms remains high. According to Climatempo, the scenario is associated with the strengthening of the Low Level Jet, responsible for the intense transport of heat and humidity to the Rio Grande do Sul territory. On Tuesday (21), the cold front will advance to the northern half of RS and intensify the rain in municipalities in this area.
