According to Inmet, current weather conditions present a low risk of accidents in the affected areas. The alert affects cities in eight of the nine states in the Northeast - only Maranhão is not on the list. Potential danger warning predicts winds of up to 60 km/h and is valid until Sunday night (19). Safety recommendations Civil Defense and Inmet advise the population to adopt preventive measures in case of gusts of wind. The recommendations are: do not take shelter under trees, as there is a slight risk of falling and electrical discharges; and do not park vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs.
