According to the president of Loteamento Vila Maria, Sisney Costa, the community claims that it is facing old problems and says that the demands remain unresolved. "We're tired of this. We've already closed the BR three times. They said they were going to do the drainage, they put in a culvert where the water doesn't even come close. We want a solution. If it doesn't solve it, we'll close it every day until we get an answer," he said. Among the main complaints are the lack of running water, difficulties in accessing the streets, especially during the winter period, and problems with school transport.
