High grass, garbage and risk of dengue fever: abandonment of park worries residents of Pirassununga The Temístocles Morocco Leite Municipal Park, known as Parque do Lago, in Pirassununga (SP), has accumulated trash, tall grass measuring more than one meter, damaged benches, uncollected pruning remains and exposed wiring, in addition to housing remnants of last year's Christmas decorations. At least 12 pedal boats are completely disabled, some of them out of the water and in a pile. There is an accumulation of stagnant water inside the duck-shaped equipment and in abandoned tires around it, which creates the risk of breeding grounds for the mosquito that transmits dengue fever. The situation worries residents and visitors. The city said it will maintain the site, but did not give a deadline. (See the full positioning below). ?
